Le Saint Tropez – Party Yacht

A day aboard the Saint-Tropez in Phuket...

Spend a day aboard a spacious, accessible, quiet and offering you interesting possibilities is what the team of Saint-Tropez in Phuket offers you.

Lovers of diving, snorkeling or simply swimming, you will be greatly satisfied. The children will find what to have fun with trampoline, tobogan, and other equipment...

The supervision in general is ensured by serious and very competent qualified instructors.

The cuisine is really excellent, the atmosphere very friendly.

One of the highlights of the day takes place during the return trip at around 6 pm, shortly before arrival at the Chalong pier...

Le Saint-Tropez Party Yacht

The regulations have become quite strict, at least everything is controlled nowadays. A complete list of passengers has to be handed over before boarding, and the maritime police keeps a close watch on all activities. These constraints were put in place following the disaster that occurred almost 2 years ago in Koh Hae (Coral Island) where many tourists lost their lives following a terrible shipwreck.

Once the checkpoints are completed, the shuttles take the tourists to the other end of the pier...

Here we are near the Saint-Tropez... all that remains is to embark...

First little tour of inspection of the boat...
It's time for the briefing...
Franck
, an experienced diving instructor and the main person in charge of the management team, informs the new arrivals of the day's progress, safety warnings, dive schedules, meal times and the return at the end of the afternoon.

  10:25 Departure

A few fruits are already in place for each passenger...
it's a tradition in Thailand to start the day off right.

Let's go for a nice sunny day...
We leave behind us the bay of Chalong and its long pontoon...
The Captain is motivated and ready for duty...

On the lower level, in a small independent room, you will find the diving equipment. Instructors are already in place to carry out final checks on the equipment so that divers can progress in good conditions.

On the main deck, the passengers have regained their favourite position... siesta, smartphone reading, chatting...
The young sailor is about to drop anchor in the bay of Koh Racha... it's 12:15 pm.

  12:15 Koh Racha...

The young sailor is about to drop anchor in the bay of Koh Racha... it's 12:15 pm.

The boat has just found its place in the small bay of Racha... it's crowded, quite a lot of people... but it's actually lunchtime and a lot of boats are there just to have this lunch break.

The first snorkeling enthusiasts are already in the water.
Possibility of using a small jet ski that you will find on board that can take you even in the depths ...

Diving enthusiasts are in place. Several groups have been formed according to the level of each one, and the visit of the bottom begins without further delay. Let's go for about 20 minutes of underwater visit...

 13:00 - Lunch time

While the divers visit the bottom of Racha Bay, lunch is served in a room on the lower level of the boat.
The divers will have lunch on their return, so there is no rushing or waiting to help themselves.

15:00 - A little visit from Koh Racha

A little hour to spend on the beach of Koh Racha where I hadn't been back for several years...
The hotel on the beach has grown further and now occupies the whole beach.
Of course, the beach remains accessible to any person passing by (it is the Thai law).
but the entire interior area of the hotel remains completely private and accessible only to hotel guests.
The beach of Racha is still as beautiful as ever, with white and fine sand and crystal clear water...
but I find it a real shame that the hotel has such a hold on this beach.

 16:00 - Back to the Saint-Tropez...

The little dingui takes us back to the Saint-Tropez.

The crew is now getting ready to head back towards Chalong Bay... but the day is not over...

A pleasant moment is reserved for us by the crew of the Saint-Tropez... a moment as surprising as it is pleasant and to be appreciated without any limitation.

 16:30 - The Saint-Tropez leaves Koh Racha

A great moment during this day... is the barbecue organized and which takes place on board the Saint-Tropez, off Koh Hae (Coral Island). I let you appreciate the pictures that will allow you to see for yourself the good moment proposed by the crew to the passengers of the Saint-Tropez.

18:00 - Sunset on Boat and Back to Chalong

The idea of the organizers of this tour is also to let the passengers enjoy the sunset just before going back to Chalong. A sunset is always a very pleasant moment, especially when it marks the end of a beautiful day as it was the case today...

The barbecue was a rare moment, an extremely convivial moment as we like them... the Thai staff gave their best to make this moment really enjoyable and which is very important to us... was appreciated by all the passengers aboard the Saint-Tropez.

16:00 - Apotheosis

I had the opportunity to test in my own way this one day excursion taking us from Chalong Pier to the small island of Racha...

Invited on this relatively recent tour, I was able to discover an interesting concept that I tried to make you relive hour by hour with this series of photos.

From this tour, I came back enchanted, and I can replay the film of this day in my head ... I can not find the slightest reproach to make, so beautiful and successful this day was ...

At the end... the tourists of different nationalities were all smiling and happy of these few hours spent on the Saint-Tropez.

There was not the slightest hitch, the slightest problem, the slightest mistake, the slightest accident... everything was perfectly orchestrated by Franck and his team.

For my part, I would like to thank Franck, Valérie, Tommy and Bruno for their welcome, their attention, their enthusiasm and their smile.  I do not forget the Thai staff who, as always, were attentive, smiling and bravo to the cooks, both meals were excellent.

Bravo to the Saint-Tropez, quite simply!
